Wallride by Tim Gooden / Pic by Kalin LawTim Gooden is a rider ready to break on to the national scene. The 20 year old rider from Descanso, California is fearless, dedicated to riding hard and being a positive influence in the sport. When Tim was a little kid he suffered several major injuries after being dragged beneath a car! He had to have multiple surgeries on his neck and back as he has grown up. But this has not slowed him down at all. Tim has a smile on his face whenever you see him. After some bad luck with injuries over the off season Tim is all healed up and ready for summer. Already this season Tim landed a top ten finish in Pro at the Santa Cruz MTB Fest Jump jam held at the Post Office. He is building up a new DMR Bolt for the season is ready to go as big as possible. Extreme Sledding video contest

I keep hearing from people that they haven't be able to ride because of the snow. But that doesn't mean the fun has to stop. We here at PlusSizeBMX are launching our first ever Best Sledding Video Contest. We got a ton of goodies to hand out to the winners. Your video should be of you or your friends, around a minute long and show some sweet action with any kind of sled or snobike. We will be giving prizes to the Best overall video and for the best rick. All of the videos will be posted here or on our facebook page. Send all submissions to info@plussizebmx.com So go get your sleds, your friends and a camera and have some fun!!! Hooray sledding.... look below for a good example of some "extreme" sledding" and no I don't expect any other videos that include a fighter jet....haha

Timmy Gooden at 2010 Crankworx ColoradoBest wishes and healing vibes go out to PlusSizeBMX team rider Timmy Gooden. Timmy took a nasty 15 foot fall to flat at the Santa Clarita park, which snapped his collarbone. Tim will be off his bike for at least 6 weeks. Heal soon buddy!!!

Nick Soloninka talks a little about the Hack Shinpads from IXS protection. IXS is a european company that makes a lot of technical riding gear for Bike and Motorcycle riders. Go check out their full line at www.ixs.com The Hacks are a full sleeve shinpad that provide great coverage. A half zipper on the side makes them easier to get on and off. IXS uses "Nockout" absorbant padding to keep the pad comfortable and safe. The body of the Hacks is made of "Aeromesh" breathable and ultralight fabric. So they will stay (relatively) cool while your riding. Nick has been wearing them on DH trips and says that they stay right where you put them. Bug your local shop to get you some. We will be doing some more tests of IXS products shortly. Including the Laid Back Riding denim and the Slope kneepad. Stay tuned...
