DMR Pump Track Challenge at LBS

We don't cover any kind of racing generally. But the DMR pump track challenge is pretty sweet. They recently held one at the London Bike Show. The small dual oval course made for some tight racing and good carnage...

2011 DMR bolt This last weekend was the COREBIKE Show in the UK. COREBIKE is a small industry show that was held at a resort in the UK countryside. Brands including DMR, Hope, Fox and a bunch of others were in attendance. The show looks pretty sweet. Matt from over at DMR sent me over a few photos from their booth. They were showing off the shiny new Bolt frames as well as the new 898 and more. Click below for the rest of the pics....

"What you doing on the track?!?!"

This is great Gopro footage of DMR's Duncan Ferris taking out a photographer. The action happened at the recent Red Bull Hill Chasers event in the UK. The event was a head to head paved hill climb between two riders. Why can't we get some more fun bike events like this in the US?

Tim Gooden back on his bike!

DMR/PSBMX team rider Tim Gooden

Team PlusSizeBMX and DMR rider Tim Gooden was with us on our recent trip to Las Vegas. This was Tim's first time really riding since breaking his collarbone a couple months back. He showed no signs of the injury slowing him down at all. Tim went big every chance he got. You will see more when the trip edit is done this week. Thanks to BLK MRKT rider and Photographer Kalin Law for catching this pic. Hooray Bikes!!!

2011 DMR Bolt Geometry

DMR has released a bunch of info and pics of the much anticipated Bolt full suspension frame. The Bolt offers 125mm (4.9" inches) of rear wheel travel. Because of the concentric Bottom Bracket lower linkage the Bolt can be setup as a single speed or with those crazy gear thingys. To aid in this flexibility the Bolt includes DMR's Swopout Dropout system. The frame is made of 4130 heat treated cromoly. This is a Full squish frame that trully rides like a hardtail. Even though I only rode it up and down the walkways at Interbike it felt stable, easy to manual and very nimble. DMR is hoping to have Bolt's available fully by March. Start saving your pennies you will want one of these. Click below for exact Geometry and a closeup of the linkage...

2010 Interbike: DMR

Tons of new stuff was available to checkout in the DMR booth. The one piece that received a ton of attention was the DMR Bolt. The Bolt is a 125mm travel cromoly frame. The rear suspension design is built around a concentric bottom bracket pivot. Which means that you can run the Bolt single speed or geared. Olly Wilkins has been testing the Bolt and loves it. And If it works for him it will work for you. The Bolt is designed for slopestyle but would be eqaully fun ripping some flowy trails. Also on display was the new Reptoid frame. The Reptoid is designed as an entry level frame in the DMR line. The Reptoid is also available as a complete with a couple different spec lists. They also were showing off the new Vault pedal. The Vault is their new top of the line pedal. This new model is lighter and thinner then the classic DMR v12 pedal. The Vault offers a dual concave design and adjustable pins to keep your foot right where you want it. The spindle spins on a bushing on the crank side and sealed bearings on the outside. The option of a Ti spindle (340grams) will also be offered. You can see the fullline of DMR goodies at www.dmrbikes.com Tell your local shop that they can get DMR through BTI, Dirtec Direct or QBP in the US and at Norco in Canada. Check the website for other countries. Don't miss some closeup pics and more after the jump...Click Below (pics by Patrick Armstrong)
