August Heat Sucks!

Santi Gastelum (PSBMX, Atomlab) gets the August heat as bad as anyone anywhere. Santi's town in Mexico has been averaging 115dg this month. Brutal! That is sit in air conditioning and not move kind of heat. He still managed to ride enough to drop this quick chill edit. I dig the line at 01:57...

The revolution begins with Joe Perrizo

Weirdness from the Pacific Northwest. No not Bigfoot but Joe Perrizo. Joe Perrizo has been amassing clips for this edit for a while. So many killer and really original moves getting done. This 100% gauranteed fresh. Nice work Joe!

Santi's welcome edit...

Once again Santiago Gastelum proves you are only limited by your creativity. No big parks to ride in Mexico. But that doesn't limit him much. And I believe that he is the king of the pedal flip. Welcome the PSBMX team Santi !

Joe Perrizo - Exclusive Interview

Wallride from Joe PerrizoThe quiet demeanor of Joe Perrizo can be misleading. It changes when he gets on his bike. When working out a new trick most people will work up to it. Maybe spend a little time on a soft trick jump or in a foam pit. Not the plan for Joe. During the best trick at Ranchstyle he decided to try his first double backflip. His first attempt was crazy close. (Watch the edit below for the clips) I got a chance to catch up with him and ask him a few questions about bikes and his plans for 2011...read the full interview below....

Atomlab goes south of the border

Santiago Gastelum who lives in San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico just sent me over this edit. He doesn't have a lot of spots or a park to ride down there so he makes the best of what he has. Does some sweet stuff in this edit. And he has the fastest pedal flips in the west. Think he throws one in every trick...haha. Nice work!!!

"Welcome to Tough as Hell!", say it!

Cracked me up when I came across this today. This is the teaser for the Atomlab DVD "Tough as Hell." Such a sick video. Hard to believe it came out over 4 years ago. Track down a copy if you can. It will be worth it!!!

Bike Check: Tim Gooden

PSBMX team rider Tim Gooden just shot me over a bike check of the current setup on his DMR 898 Hardtail. Tim has a DMR Bolt on the way. He should be on that by next weeks Ranchstyle slopestyle in Grand Junction.

Tim Gooden : Exclusive Interview

Wallride by Tim Gooden / Pic by Kalin LawTim Gooden is a rider ready to break on to the national scene. The 20 year old rider from Descanso, California is fearless, dedicated to riding hard and being a positive influence in the sport. When Tim was a little kid he suffered several major injuries after being dragged beneath a car! He had to have multiple surgeries on his neck and back as he has grown up. But this has not slowed him down at all. Tim has a smile on his face whenever you see him. After some bad luck with injuries over the off season Tim is all healed up and ready for summer. Already this season Tim landed a top ten finish in Pro at the Santa Cruz MTB Fest Jump jam held at the Post Office. He is building up a new DMR Bolt for the season is ready to go as big as possible. Check below for my interview with Tim and some pics...

Adam Hauck is back!

pic by Nick Brandreth Interview: One of the best all around riders in the MTB scene has been sidelined for 8 months. In those 8 months Adam Hauck (Black Market) has had 2 surgeries on his wrist and spent the majority of that time in various casts and off his bike. Just this last Tuesday Adam's doctor gave him clearance to get back to riding. I spoke with Adam yesterday to see how his wrist is feeling and what his plans are for 2011. Adam told me that after his first long session the wrist was solid and felt back to normal. Although a full day of pumping the ramps in his backyard wore him out a little quicker then before. He also stated that, "I still have most of my tricks." Which is a testament to how good of a rider Adam is. (Editors note: After 8 months off I might forgot how to bunnyhop!) Adam is working on a welcome back edit that should be out on the intrawebs within a week or so. Currently Adam is working out his plans for 2011 and I gaurantee we will be seeing a lot from him this year! Welcome back Adam!

Dirtec Direct's new Digs

Dirtec Direct just moved into a slick new office in Valencia, California. In case you don't know Dirtec is the home of Atomlab. They also serve as distributors for Black Market, Corsair, SDG, Marzocchi and soon will have DMR. Due the crazy growth of their brands they have needed a bigger space for a while. The new location has a huge warehouse, office space and a showroom. That extra space will be filled with lots and lots of new 2011 goodies very soon. If you want to carry products from Dirtec in your shop give Matt a call at 661-284-2807. Check out more pics below...

2010 Interbike: ATOMLAB

Atomlab was one of the first brands to recognize that big BMX bikes needed strong and light parts. They have been in the scene since there was a scene. If you don't run Atomlab stuff someone you know does. At Interbike this year Atomlab was showing off all of the new colors of the pimp and pimplite lines. Atomlab wheels are one of the most popular hoops to roll on. You can go the Atomlab website and build your own custom wheelset. You can choose hubs and different colors for rims, spokes and nipples.  Through the magic of the Interweb you can see exactly what your wheel will look like. Go check it out at www.atomlab.com. If your local shop does not carry Atomlab ask them why not and have them contact Chris @ Dirtec Direct - 661-284-2807 You can also find Atomlab products at www.plussizebmxstore.com (pics by Patrick Armstrong)

Interbike 2010: DIRTEC

Dirtec is a new brand from the guys behind Atomlab. If you need some cool parts and are on a budget Dirtec is for you. Although the Dirtec line is not as fancy as others it is still top quality. All the parts look strong and ready to ride. Most budget lines look pretty boring. But the Dirtec stuff is all about color. If you want your local shop to start stocking Dirtec have them contact Chris@dirtecdirect.com. pics by Patrick Armstrong

More bike porn from Eurobike...

New saddles from DMR Bikes...2011 Atomlab Pimplite pedalsA few more sweet bits from Eurobike. Our friend Tim Wilkey over at Ridestreet.net snapped these. The graphics on the DMR saddle look pretty sweet. There is a couple more new designs from them as well. Atomlab has redesigned there popular pimplite pedals too. The offset design with adjustable pins looks really good. They have also drilled out the pedal tomake them even lighter. I will get full details in a couple week at Interbike. Thanks for the pics Tim...

Peanuse day edit...

Ridestreet.co.uk rider Dan Bucknall (DMR, Severed Alliance, Atomlab) just dropped this edit. I really like Dan's barspin to can lander. Nice edit guys. Go check out ridestreet.co.uk too.
