S and M 26" Pitchfork Review
Anyone who has ever ridden a 20" bike knows of the S&M Pitchfork. This fork is THE fork for BMX and has been for quite a while. And now they offer a 26" version of this classic fork. I have been running this fork for a couple months and have had no problems. And I ABUSE this fork. I do alot of toothpick grinds on the leg and dropouts. Which they handle without any sign of flinching. The legs of the fork are 4q baked for strength and butted for weight savings. And at only 2.49 lbs (with an uncut steerer) the fork is no anchor. Currently I have the fork on an Eastern Black Betty frame with 3" Spank Tweet bars. The bar height definitely drops when you switch to a rigid fork. This was something that is easy to overcome with ride time. The few BMXers that have taken a spin on my bike love how it feels. Only MTB guys who run bigger forks mind the bar height. I would easily recommend this fork to anyone looking for a rigid fork. It is really strong and light. Contact your local S and M dealer to get your own set. If you do not know where your local dealer is go to www.sandmbikes.com to find out. I put together a short edit with the details of the fork as well as a couple quick riding clips. Enjoy...Cheers...
