TRESTLE BIKE PARK AT WINTER PARK RESORT ANNOUNCES

COLORADO FREERIDE FESTIVAL, JULY 26-29, 2012

This summer event will be the largest freeride festival in the United States

WINTER PARK, Colo., (January 13, 2012) – Trestle Bike Park at Winter Park Resort, located just 67 miles from Denver, Colorado, has announced a new lineup to its already popular and well-respected mountain bike events schedule. Trestle Bike Park will host one of the largest mountain bike festivals in the United States; the Colorado Freeride Festival is scheduled for July 26 - 29, 2012.

“We are extremely proud to continue our tradition of hosting the finest mountain bike festivals in the United States,” said Bob Holme, Trestle Bike Park Manager. “Winter Park is excited about continuing to grow the tradition and quality of competition with our signature summer event, Colorado Freeride Festival.”

An event schedule will now showcase Slopestyle, Epic Singletrack Series Cross-Country Race and a new edition of a three-day, five-stage Enduro Race. Plus, returning to the schedule is a crowd favorite, the Intergalactic Pond Crossing Championships. Specific details will be disclosed at a later date. The Colorado Freeride Festival will be free to the general public.

The Colorado Freeride Festival’s slopestyle event is registered with the Freeride Mountain Bike Association (FMBA).

“The Colorado Freeride Festival will be dedicated to providing high-quality racing in the All-mountain Enduro, spectacular spectator events like the Slopestyle, and family fun in the kids’ races and pond crossing.  All the events will be finishing in the Festivillage that will host vendors, racing teams, demo bikes, and outdoor/action sports brands,” continues Holme.

Spectators and participants can expect a lively vendor village Festivillage, world-class athletes and non-stop mountain biking action for four days during peak summer season at Winter Park Resort’s Trestle Bike Park. The Colorado Freeride Festival will be the epitome of an ideal mountain bike festival.
