Shop Check: The Bicycle Source

No shop is more steeped in BMX lore then The Bicycle Source. Originally opened in 1980 the shop was the place everyone wanted to be at and be a part of. The original shop closed in 1994. But now the legend lives on...

The reincarnated Bicycle Source is located in Anaheim, California and is neighbors with Disneyland. The new shop is owned by Steve Blackey and Dan Hubbard. But The Bicycle Source is more then just a place to buy parts. Equal to the size of the sales floor is an indoor park area that's open to customers. They also have a sweet chill area with a huge TV and some couches. Perhaps the coolest part of it all is that the entire place is a shrine/museum to BMX. Old bikes line the walls mixed with pics, jerseys and more from most of the legends of our sport.

The sales floor was stocked up with completes from Sunday, Black Market and a few more. The parts and accessories cases were full with every part imaginable. It was such a killer place to just hang out and experience BMX's past and future. If you ever go thru Anaheim make sure to go to the shop and show them some support. You will probably want one of the 'Dunkin Donut" shop shirts as well.  But don't forget your bike. (Like I did) The bowl area looks like a blast to ride. For more info on the shop and how to get there hit them up online HERE
