New Austin, TX Skatepark
Rec Center BMX/Skate park Austin, TexasAs if the scene in Austin wasn't good enough already they are about to get a brand new park. I believe this will only be the second park operated by the city. This one is around 30,000sq ft. That area is split between a street section and a huge bowl. I posted a few pics of the construction below. Some crazy shit will go down in this park!
The park is located at 1213 Shoal Creek Blvd. which is only a few blocks from downtown and (more importantly) an easy ride from the 9th street trails. The plan is for the park to be open by summer.

This place is literally less than a 5 minute bike ride from 9th St. I am going to quit my job and be a bum that lives under the bridge between the two places. What more would you need in life? 9th St. now has a hose and a drinking fountain.......AND a brand new cement park is right down the bike path!!! Best summer ever about to go down in Austin.
