Product Review: DMR Wingbar
Cromoly MTB bars seem to go one of two ways. They are either way overbuilt, weigh a ton and are stiff as hell or offer thin wall construction (or various butted tubing) which make them light but super flexy. The DMR Wingbars seem to fit in the middle of the two extremes. The Wingbar offers 5 butted spots throughout the bar. This keeps them light (1300grams/2.8lbs for 3") for cromoly bars. But this does not make the bar too flexy. They have a little give; which is great on the wrists. Especially if you run a rigid fork. More often then not when people try out my bike I get questions about the bars. They just seem to feel right for a lot of people. Wingbars in 3" are a great choice for park and street riding. They also offer a 1.5" rise for more of a DJ option. If you need a new set of bars for 2011 go check out the DMR Wingbars. Find info on how to find yourself a pair below.

I liked the DMR Wingbars until they changed the geometry, I have the ones with the BMX style cross brace, they have a nice flat bend and no up sweep to them. Then after buying my first 2 pairs ( 1 for a SS MTB I had and the other for my Oryx Maw Commuter ) I bought a new pair for a Norco Ryde that I Dirt Jump with and found they had radically changed the bend and sweep which I didn't care for, unfortunate as I really loved those bars. I ended up going to the Axiom Supercross Bars which are very similar to the original DMR's. I also have 2 Pairs of their Rigid Forks the TrailBlades, and I love those as much as I loved those old Wingbars! I also run 1 of their Single Speed Conversion Kits for Multi Speed rear hubs, they do make great stuff!
You can still get the DMR wingbars that have a crossbar. Not sure if the geometry has changed since you had a set though. Thanks for your comment!
Lookes good but weight 1300g? :D :D
It looks also that it has too much backsweep, because it its harder to catch barspins with a big backsweep dg.
