Wallride by Tim Gooden / Pic by Kalin LawTim Gooden is a rider ready to break on to the national scene. The 20 year old rider from Descanso, California is fearless, dedicated to riding hard and being a positive influence in the sport. When Tim was a little kid he suffered several major injuries after being dragged beneath a car! He had to have multiple surgeries on his neck and back as he has grown up. But this has not slowed him down at all. Tim has a smile on his face whenever you see him. After some bad luck with injuries over the off season Tim is all healed up and ready for summer. Already this season Tim landed a top ten finish in Pro at the Santa Cruz MTB Fest Jump jam held at the Post Office. He is building up a new DMR Bolt for the season is ready to go as big as possible. Where do you live: Descanso, California

How many years have you been riding: I've been riding mountain bikes for about 4 years now, and I rode BMX before that for about 3 years.

What got you into riding: My next door neighbor got me riding his dirt jumps when i was little, but I'm a tall guy so mountain bikes just fit me better..hah. and my friend JD got me hooked!

What keeps you motivated to ride and progress: I like watching videos of other riders and I like riding with people who push me to try more.

What is the best part of riding: I like the adrenaline rush and it keeps me from going crazy..hah.

Any major changes in your bike and gear for 2011: I'll be riding the DMR Bolt in all my contests, other than that im stickin with my Atomlab parts, VP pedals and IXS gear.

What do you hope to accomplish in 2011: I hope that I get to the point where i'm happy with my riding skills and to make it to all the contests i can!

What event(s) are you looking forward to the most this year: Ranchstyle, Crankworks Colorado, Teva games, AT showdown and any others that start up.

Favorite riding Spot(s): Clairemont skatepark, Cuyamaca dirt jumps, Pine Valley dirt jumps and Da compound

Favorite person(s) to ride with: Cj Wilder, Kalin Law, Jake Kinney, Chris Olivier and pretty much anyone thats positive!

Do you ride with headphones? What do you listen to: Nope. I zone out to much, I like the sound of my bike.

This is an edit from our Las Vegas trip in January 2011. Right after Tim's collarbone and healed and rigth befor he broke his wrist. Tim is working on a full edit which should be out soon...
