Rocco Quintiliani - Exclusive Interview and Pics

Rocco at 2010 Claymore - pic by Patrick Armstrong Interview: The Cape Cod scene might be small but it has some great riders. Mike Kent, Clinton Macmahon and, of course, Dartmoor bikes rider Rocco Quintiliani. Rocco is a great rider who always pushes himself and those around him. Always having a great time and stoked to be riding. Watching him ride is always entertaining and motivating. Over the summer you will be able to find Rocco at Highland MTB park in New Hampshire. Putting in work and getting ready for the Claymore Challenge. Rocco said, "This year I'm really looking forward to a few events (including) everything at Highlands" and that "The River Rock Fest in Virginia is always a good time!!" This could be Rocco's year to really break out! Check out our exclusive interview with Rocco below...

Rocco Quintiliani getting serious
Age: 25

Where do you live: Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA

How many years have you been riding: I've been riding my whole life, but I've been taking it seriously for about 6 or 7 years

What got you into riding: My brother rode BMX way back when I wasn't so into bikes, then I moved to the cape and ran into a guy named Kyle Ebbett at the local bike shop, he took me to some trails so I got to see some real riding then it went on from there.

Tell us about the Cape Cod scene: The scene on Cape Cod consists of Clint McMahon, Mike Kent and myself. And we all live together. The cape has hosted some baller's in it's day tho, Kyle Ebbett, Marcus tooker, Josh perry, just to name a few. And a few up and comers too, mostly BMX kids. Brett Silva destroys and I'm sure you'll be seeing him soon. But there's not too many places to ride, one ok skatepark and a bunch of pre-fab crap. When u build in the woods it usually gets torn down, by the town, environmental police, etc. So we ride our yard!

What keeps you motivated to ride and progress: I'm not a fan of my real job so I dream of the day I can quit!

What is the best part of riding: the best part of riding is just the brotherhood of bikers, like the people I've met from all around the world with one thing in common, bikes!

Any major changes in your bike and gear for 2011: ya tons of changes for this year. New Dartmoor Cody frame. Been having a hard time with forks so I'm on a rigid right now. Yowelli bars! Hottness outta NYC! In the process of a mechanical gyro too.

What do you hope to accomplish in 2011:  In 2011 I wanna do a few comps and get a lot of footage for a few projects.

What event(s) are you looking forward to the most this year: This year I'm really looking forward to a few events, everything at Highlands, hope to at least get the finals at Claymore. River Rock Fest in Virginia, always a good time!! Trying to get to Teva games and prob a few more that I can't remember.

Favorite riding Spot(s): I got a few fav spots, Brooklyn banks is an all time favorite. Highland mountain, and of course, my back yard.

Favorite person(s) to ride with: When I'm not with clint and mike? Big daddy!!! Dude is hilarious! Don't wanna forget Adam Hauck either, even tho it's been forever!

Do you ride with headphones? What do you listen to: I rock the headphones if I'm solo or tryin to "do work"! If it's not metal, it's either gangster as shit, or some poppy song by a hot chick.

Any last words, thoughts or shout outs: Gotta throw the shout outs to all my sponsors, especially Mauls bike shop for hooking it up with everything! Parts, tee shirts, and dude tours!! And another to Highland MTB park, thanks for letting us run around your property doing whatever we want! (within reason of course)

And now a couple edits featuring Dartmoor bikes rider Rocco Quintilliani...
