Review coming on the Dartmoor Revolt Pro hub!

During the next period I will be testing the brand new 2012 Dartmoor Revolt Pro hub, which will be available in the stores around January/February. The full review will me up after the New Year starts. But check out more info on this sick new hub below...

The Revolt Pro is the new superlight top of the range hub by Dartmoor. Weighing only 385g this is possibly the lightest singlespeed hub on the market with a driver. Speaking about the driver, the Revolt Pro uses the new Q-Lite technology, meaning that the pawls are not fitted on the driver, but inside the hub (exactly the other way round as for regular drivers). By using this system Dartmoor managed to save some decent weight off the hub.  This hub has 6 pawls and 30 engagement points. 6 pawls is twice as much as most hubs have, meaning that it should never be able to skip. The 30 engagement points should make this hub respond very fast.

The hub comes with a 9T driver (they recommend running a 23T sprocket up front).

The Revolt Pro is a female hub, meaning that the bolts in the end go into the axle , instead of onto the axle like male hubs do. It can be tightened/loosened with a 17mm wrench or with a 6mm allen key. The hub I got has an 8mm allen key size, but the production version will have a 6mm allen key size.

The hub will be available in these sweet colors: black, polished, purple, red, blue and green.

I now fitted this good looking hub onto my bike and will ride it for a while. Stay tuned to hear what I think of it!

Review should be online in the beginning of 2012!
