While in San Diego recently we went over and checked out the relatively new skatepark called New Venture Action Sports Park. The park is technically in Oceanside and is located at the New Venture Christian Fellowship. The park is a pretty good size with quite a few ramps including a mini half, box, foam pit, small mini with a spine and more. Check out more below...

The park was built and is run by BMXer Mark Forester. So bikes will always be a big part of the park. Which is nice for a change. Right now the park is only open for sessions a couple times a week. The sessions are: Wednesday from : 2:30 - 6:00 and Sunday 12:00 to 4:30. Each session is only $5 for non-members. The church also owns a large dirt lot across from the park. Discussions are under way to put in a dirt jump park in this area. Our friend Jon Faure is one of the people helping design and (hopefully) building it.

You should go check out the park and get in a little session. The vibe is very casual and fun. The park takes some getting used to. Like most parks but a lot of fun can be had for sure. They will be holding an Amateur contest on Februaury 11. Join the facebook event for the contest HERE Check with the park for more details.
