What kind of bikes are these?? I can't find the name of them anywhere. Like the type of bike that it is . Eg. bmx bikes I know mountain bikes but what are these??

Well Graham that definition is still uncertain. Some people call them Dirt jump mtb or urban freeride mtb or mtbmx bikes. I refer to them as Plus Size BMX bikes. Hence the name of this site. Since these bikes do not actually go on Mountain trails I feel that calling them Mountain bikes would be incorrect. We are a segment of cycling that is so new we do not have a firm definition. However we are much closer in relation to bmx then mountain biking. What matters to me is going out for a ride and having a good time with your mates regardless of what you ride. Hooray bikes!!!

What bike would you recommend for a first bike like this the 2010 Norco Havoc http://www.norco.com/bikes/mountain/dirt-street/havoc/ or the DJ300 http://www.khsbicycles.com/01_dj_300_10.htm??

The havoc is the better choice of the two you picked. But I would encourage you to check into DMR, Black Market and Eastern bikes. All three of these companies make really sick 24" and 26" PlusSizeBMX complete bikes. If you come up with any more questions feel free to email me directly at chris@plussizebmx.com
