Those "little bmx kids" must be AWESOME!!! Not a lot of kiddies can bunny 180 at bar height or double whip or flipwhip or 3 whip to bar or feeble to manual to smith or 3 a gap or 180 lookback on a gap or etc etc etc. And besides that I don't think it is a "fact that these guys are the best mtb street riders." They have never claimed to be anything but a group of guys who like shredding on there bikes and drinking some beer!!! SO that makes them awesome to me!!! Anyone else agree?
Martin is exactly right! I have never wanted to classify one rider as the best. (or ever cared about who is better or worse) It does not make any sense to try. In a sport that is all about personal expresion how can anyone be the best. That is like declaring one painter or sculptor the best. It just does not work. You can be the best for the day. Thats what contests are for. But no one person can be simply THE best. What I can give you Franco is a list of riders that I enjoy watching: Adam Hauck, Michael Plonka, Joe Perrizo, Martin Knorr, Soderstrom!!!, Ratt Bones, Anton Wangberg, Yowelli etc etc etc. My favorite rider at any given moment is whoever I am riding with that is stoked to be on their bike. Because that is all that really matters!!!
chris i didnt ask for some story of your life, no matter if the vvc guys are the best or not or whether you think that's relevant or not it still says a lot that some of the technically best mtb riders are still quite a bit behind a bunch of bmx kids who ve been riding for 2.5 years.
says a lot about the logic of riding street on 26 inch

i like the fact that these guys are the best mtb street riders and they still get owned by the little bmx kids that ride at my local park.

You forget the fact that stuff is a lot harder to do on a mtb than on a bmx. That's why the bmx riding level is higher than mtb
